The law honors more than 82,000 Americans who are listed as Prisoners of War, Missing in Action, or otherwise unaccounted for. Honoring America's veterans is personal to me and many Arizona families. Our bipartisan law ensures we never forget the extraordinary sacrifices of our servicemembers who gave so much to keep us safe and protect our freedom, said Sinema, a member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee. The POW/MIA and U.S. flags are flown concurrently every day at federal locations. Previously, the POW/MIA flag was only required to be displayed by the federal government on Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, National POW/MIA Recognition Day, and Veterans Day. The POW/MIA Flag Act was endorsed by Rolling Thunder Inc.
