The accords were signed in a ceremony at the White House by President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. “The prospect of peace and hope for an end to strife in the Middle East have brightened thanks to the historic Abraham Accords signed today at the White House,” said Senator Sullivan. “The President and his administration and the leaders of Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain have shown courage in negotiating these agreements. It is my hope this momentum of peace and collaboration will indeed be a ‘pivot of history,’ as described by Prime Minister Netanyahu, a pivot to further diminish the malign activities of the Iranian regime and lead more states in the region to agree to pursue peace with Israel and a better economic and security future for all people in the Middle East.” Sullivan also cosponsored aresolution, introduced by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Ben Cardin (D-Md.) and Todd Young (R-Ind.), commending the historic accords reached by Israel, the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain. # # # 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-06-28T00:28:51Z
