Tester, who still farms the land his grandparents homesteaded, wants to hear from Montanans about what they want to see in the next long-term Farm Bill which Congress will begin writing early next year. "It's critically important that Montana has a say in the next Farm Bill," said Tester, a member of the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee. "These listening sessions will allow me to hear from folks who are directly impacted by the legislation so I can take their thoughts with me back to Washington where we'll draft a bill that will strengthen our state's number one industry."
