"I have seen firsthand the important role New Market Tax Credits play in Montana's economy, and I will continue to ensure that the folks at the Montana Community Development Corporation are able to access this critical tool to help create jobs and increase economic activity." As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Tester was able to secure this historic investment that will help create jobs and increase economic activity in underdeveloped and low-income areas. The Montana Community Development Corporation participated in a highly competitive nationwide application process to secure $90 million in New Market Tax Credits.
