https://www.tester.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=4903 Montana Health Care: Whats At Risk [press_release] 2016-12-19 2016 2016-12 Democrat House MT Jon Tester T000464 www.tester.senate.gov     legacy Jon Wants to Know How the Affordable Care Act has Helped You U.S. Senate and House leadership have made it clear that one of the first items on their "To Do" list this January is to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), despite having no plan to replace it.  That's why I've launched this webpage, so Montanans can submit their personal stories about #WhatsAtRisk if Congress repeals the ACA without a plan to cover the thousands of Montanans who are benefitting from the law. I know our healthcare system isn't perfect, we still have a lot of work to do to make it more affordable for working families and to hold insurance and drug companies accountable. But repealing all the progress we've made without a plan to cover Montana families is reckless and irresponsible. Since the ACA was signed into law... More Montanans have access to healthcare than ever before. Montanans who have life threatening diseases, like cancer, can now finish their treatments without hitting an arbitrary cap on care.  Montana seniors have saved $56 million in prescription drug costs.  152,000 Montanans with pre-existing conditions now have access to health insurance. 61,000 low income Montanans have health insurance through Medicaid expansion. Montanans under the age of 26 can get health coverage under their parents' plans. Montana's uninsured rate has dropped from 22 percent to 7 percent. After holding healthcare roundtables in Billings, Great Falls and Helena, I want to ensure all Montanans have a chance to tell Congress #WhatsAtRisk if they repeal the ACA.  Find out more about #WhatsAtRisk HERE. Please email your personal health care story to healthcare@tester.senate.gov or fill out the questionnaire below. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
