The grant, worth $683,965, will make flying in winter conditions safer and more efficient. Tester was the only member of Montana's delegation to vote for the bipartisan agreement that delivered the money through the Federal Aviation Administration's grant program. "Snow doesn't stop the people of Butte from going about their business, and it doesn't stop them from traveling during the winter," said Tester, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, which funds airport grants. "This grant will make air travel to and from Butte safer, boosting the economy and keeping the community connected year-round." Tester's #ConnectMT initiative has yielded big results for air travel in Montana.
