Any agreement allowing Iran to maintain significant nuclear enrichment capabilities will likely prompt neighboring countries to pursue nuclear enrichment programs of their own, increasing tensions in an already volatile region and further threatening the security of our ally Israel. “Given the fact that it’s been a year since the original six-month interim agreement, it is time for the Senate to take action on the bipartisan Nuclear Weapon Free Iran Act to impose additional sanctions on Iran.” ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
