Thune called attention to a story from a family in South Dakota who recently received a cancellation notice in the mail for their current health plan. The family said, “We’ve had the same kind of health insurance for years. It worked for us, we are happy with it. When our current plan expires in 2014 it will no longer be available. We were told that our new policy will most likely cost over 100 percent more than what we pay now. We will not be able to afford it.” Click here to watch the Senator’s floor speech. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
