Sen. Tuberville began this series in 2023 to show his appreciation for Alabama veterans for their service to our military and Alabama’s local communities. Sen. Tuberville recognizes a different Alabama veteran each month for their service and contribution to their community. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 “Veteran of the Month” series. “Alabama is home to more than 400,000 veterans who bravely answered the call to defend our country,” said Sen. Tuberville. “Even though they’re no longer in uniform, they still serve our local communities in remarkable ways. I’ve enjoyed listening to the unique ways that Alabama’s veterans are giving back to their communities. Their efforts make our state a better place to call home.
