We proudly support Judge Ballou and are confident that he will continue to serve Virginia and our country well. We are looking forward to a full Senate confirmation as soon as possible.” In August 2021, Sens. Warner and Kaine sent a letter to President Biden recommending Judge Ballou for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia following Judge James P. Jones’ decision to take senior status. President Biden announced Judge Ballou’s nomination in July 2022.
