We have a long way to go in combatting these problems, but holding everyone to a high standard—including public servants—is an important step down that road. “Now, Republicans must join Democrats in holding their own accountable. The American people should take notice of national Republicans’ support for a morally degraded Senate candidate in Alabama and a President in the Oval Office facing equally credible charges. “The shift in attitude toward sexual harassment and abuse underway in other areas of society must extend to our politics.
