Stomach cancer is the fifth most common type of cancer worldwide and one of the most difficult to detect in its early stages. The resolution expresses support for more education of patients and health care providers and more research into early diagnosis, screening, and treatment. In a year where so much of our health care conversationhas revolvedaround the current pandemic, it'salsoimportant tocontinue toraise awarenessaboutdiseases that have afflicted Americans for decades, said Senator Young. It is my hope that our third annual resolution will bring awareness to stomach cancer so that we can detect and treat this disease sooner and save more lives. The complete text of the resolution can be foundhere. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
