The students assisted with daily activities and special projects related to legislation, communications, and constituent services. The Washington, D.C. internship class included (from left to right): Erik McCray, a recent Indiana University Bloomington graduate; Jorie Allen, a Bedford native and recent DePaul University graduate; Collin Monesmith, an Indianapolis native graduating from Indiana University Bloomington in December 2025; and Josie O’Rourke, a student at the University of Denver. The Indianapolis internship class included (from left to right): Maria Abdelmalek, a Carmel native and junior at Butler University; Ryan Riddlesperger, a senior at Purdue University; Charles Alderice, a Fort Wayne native and senior at Purdue University; and Ashlyn Moritz, a Westfield native and recent Bob Jones University graduate. The New Albany internship class included Sam Goldman Brown, a Georgetown native and student at Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg. Senator Young’s office offers internship opportunities year-round, in both his Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis offices. The internship program offers students the opportunity to experience the legislative branch of government and serve Hoosiers.
