Pryor to Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals 2022-12-05 2022 2022-12 Republican Senate IN Todd Young Y000064 www.young.senate.gov toddyoung https://www.young.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/ scraper WASHINGTON — The United States Senate tonight confirmed Judge Doris L. Pryor to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) announced his support for Judge Pryor in May of this year and introduced her at her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee in July. “Judge Pryor is a public servant of the highest caliber. She understands the difference between the role of an advocate and the role of a judge, and she will be an immense asset to the Seventh Circuit,” said Senator Young. “I was proud to help shepherd her historic nomination through the Senate.” Since March 2018, Judge Pryor has served as the Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Indiana. Prior to her appointment to the magistrate bench, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana. Judge Pryor will be the first African American from Indiana ever to serve on the Seventh Circuit. The Seventh Circuit covers Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T18:41:06Z
