Despite a lapse in appropriations and the current partial government shutdown, Members of Congress still receive a salary. It's crazy to me that Members of Congress get paid while other federal employees do not, Rep. Zeldin said. I instructed the House Chief Administrative Officer to withhold my pay until this partial government shutdown ends.
