Zinke Z000018 zinke.house.gov zinke https://zinke.house.gov/media/press-releases scraper (WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Ryan Zinke introduced a resolutionexpressing Congressional disapproval of President Biden’s planned carbon tax. The Resolution cites the negative impacts that would come with implementing a carbon tax. If enacted, a carbon tax would exacerbate the increasing energy costs consumers pay to power their vehicles, homes and businesses. There would also be downstream impacts to manufacturing, transportation and construction industries, as well as increases in the costs of food and goods. Additionally, it would further cement China’s role in manufacturing “green” technologies to meet Biden’s climate agenda. “Nobody does energy cleaner, better, safer and cheaper than we do it here in the United States,” Zinke said. “A carbon tax is harder on everyone from the energy producer to farmers to the American consumer already digging to the bottom of their pockets trying to afford Biden’s inflation. American energy producers are constantly innovating and making production both more efficient and with fewer emissions. There’s no reason we should be bowing to eco-green zealots and paying invoices to communists, terrorists and shady businessmen overseas when we have proof that we can do it better here at home.” Co-sponsors: Steve Scalise (LA-01), Scott Perry (PA-10), Mike Bost (IL-12), Andrew Clyde (GA-09), Dan Crenshaw (TX-02), Scott Perry (PA-10), Andrew Ogles (TN-05), Ronny Jackson (TX-13), Mary Miller (IL-15), Doug Lamborn (CO-05), Claudia Tenney (NY-24) 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T23:46:48Z
