Hastings (D-FL) made the following statement on the passing of Coral Springs Mayor Walter Skip Campbell: I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mayor Walter Skip Campbell Tuesday evening. Skip spent a lifetime working for our community, as a member of the Florida Senate and Mayor of Coral Springs. He leaves behind a legacy of dedicated public service. Skip was known to be an astute problem-solver. He championed compromise for the good of our community and always had his sights set on pursuing justice. Coral Springs and all of South Florida is better because of his leadership. I offer my sincerest condolences to Skip's wife, Lynn, his two children, son Daniel and daughter Christina, and his three grandchildren, Alex, Aaron and Leo, during this time of great sadness.
