Toys will be accepted in each of Congressman Barlettas offices in Washington, DC and the four 11th District offices with a deadline of December 18th. Donations should be aimed at children at a range of ages from infants to about 16 years old. Toys should be unwrapped, new, still in original packaging, and dropped off at office locations between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. This is a great program that Im always happy to participate in, Barletta said. It all started in 1947 with the first toy a hand-made doll. Today, it makes tens of thousands of kids happy each year. The foundation provides the funding and support needed for successful annual toy collection and distribution campaigns. The foundation staff is headquartered in the Cooper Center located just outside the main gate of Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia, about 35 miles south of Washington, D.C. Local campaigns are conducted annually in about 500 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
