The legislation I voted for today reaffirms the constitutional principles that only Congress has the power to write immigration laws and that the President must enforce those laws; prevents the President from suspending our immigration laws; prohibits the Administration from unilaterally granting amnesty or work permits to undocumented immigrants and declares null and void the President’s recent Executive Action.
