| http://billjohnson.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=363085 | Bill Johnson Thanksgiving Statement | 2013-11-28 | 2013 | 2013-11 | Republican | House | OH | Bill Johnson | J000292 | billjohnson.house.gov | legacy | Bill Johnson (OH-6) released the following statement on Thanksgiving, November 28, 2013: share: f t Thanksgiving offers us the opportunity to take a moment to step back from our busy lives, and give thanks to our Creator for the many blessings He has given us. No nation on earth is blessed with the abundance that America has been given, and no other People have worked more diligently and effectively than Americans to improve the quality of life for mankind. As we gather around our dinner tables today, I hope we all remember how much we as Americans – regardless of race, religion, geography, or political party – have in common, and just how far we’ve come together since the first Thanksgiving in 1621. And, as we enjoy time with our family and friends, I ask you to keep in mind those men and women in the military serving overseas, and their families, who have an empty seat at their tables today. I am thankful for the privilege of serving the people of Eastern and Southeastern Ohio in Congress, and it is an honor I never take for granted. LeeAnn and Nathan join me in wishing you and yours a happy, safe, and blessed Thanksgiving. | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
