The actions taken by President Obama today are both necessary and appropriate in order to compel Vladimir Putin and the Russian government to reassess the aggressive posture they have taken in recent years.” “In light of the FBI and Department of Homeland Security releasing a new Joint Analysis Report today that places the blame for this interference squarely on the doorstep of the Kremlin, it is critical that members of both parties in Congress accept the validity of these findings and begin working together to confront Russia’s unprecedented aggression here in the United States.” “That means starting with a thorough, independent review of Russia’s efforts to hack our democratic institutions over the past year. It means setting aside our political differences and taking a united, bipartisan approach to any further attempts to interfere in our elections.
