Early Head Start provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers as well as pregnant women and their families. This funding is an investment in Memphis children, an investment in Memphis families, and a down payment on our citys future, said Congressman Cohen. It will pay dividends as todays children grow into tomorrows entrepreneurs, doctors, scientists, and productive members of our society. This is an important program that I am proud to support. Porter-Leath has been a primary resource for Memphis' at-risk children and families for more than 160 years.
