This funding comes through the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Program, which facilitates collaborative efforts between local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and other community members to implement initiatives aimed at gang violence and gun crime reduction, prevention and intervention. “I am pleased to announce this funding which will help make Memphis safer, reduce gun crime, and prevent gang violence,” said Congressman Cohen.
