ISIS) and keeping America safe from terrorism: “As we approach the 13th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, President Obama clearly outlined his comprehensive strategy for dismantling, disabling and destroying the ISIS terrorist group, protecting our homeland, and ensuring the safety of Americans at home and abroad,” said Congressman Cohen. “The recent beheading of two American journalists by ISIS shocked the global conscience, and they are unacceptable. These and many other deplorable and inhumane acts deserve a swift response. If ISIS succeeds in creating its envisioned caliphate, it will pose a threat to freedom, democracy, tolerance, diversity, and the United States of America. I stand with the President in the fight against global terrorism, and I plan on supporting him as he works with a broad international coalition to eliminate ISIS through military, economic, and other means.” Congressman Cohen also spoke on the House Floor earlier today regarding the President’s strategy and commemorating the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
