Paul Cook (R-Apple Valley) today issued the following statement after the President signed HR 5331, renaming the post office in Twentynine Palms, located at 73839 Gorgonio Drive, as the “Colonel M.J. ‘Mac’ Dube, USMC Post Office Building: “I am pleased to honor Mac’s legacy by renaming the post office in his honor. Mac served his nation honorably and left a legacy for all those who come after him. He’ll always be remembered in Twentynine Palms for his hard work, dedication, and patriotism.” A member of the House Armed Services, Veterans' Affairs, and Foreign Affairs Committees, Cook served as an infantry officer and retired as a Colonel after 26 years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
