It originated in the Energy and Commerce Committee, which Cramer is a member.  This bill addresses the need for broadband access for the 1.4 million veterans living below the federal poverty level or in rural areas who are less likely to have broadband access. “Veterans living in rural areas are especially impacted, since these areas often take longer to get services,” said Cramer. “In our technology-driven economy, we must do all we can to help veterans have broadband access to apply for jobs, seek further education, access important records and stay in touch with family and friends.” H.R. 4352, the Faster Care for Veterans Act of 2016 brings self-scheduling technology used in the private sector to online appointment scheduling for Veterans Administration (VA) medical appointments in at least three Veterans Integrated Service Networks. “It’s time to bring more efficient technology to VA medical facilities,” said Cramer. “This self-scheduling technology has been successful in the private sector to reduce the number of missed or canceled appointments. This will give veterans a better experience with their health care and save money at VA centers.” 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
