Today, the Congressman released the following statement in response to reports showing that hundreds of troops will be sent home this week: I am encouraged to see that many of the U.S. active-duty personnel currently deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border are returning home this week, especially in time for the holidays. I supported ending the mission of our troops on the border before the original December 15th deadline, and request the remaining active-duty troops be returned to their home bases to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones.
