That's why I've worked with the Valley Land Fund to preserve the property and the diverse wildlife it supports from a wasteful and ineffective border wall. As Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, I will work to prohibit any additional funding for border wall construction on the preserve as I have done for other sensitive sites. As a defender of wildlife and public lands, I will continue to fight against the construction of a border wall. I want to thank The Valley Land Fund, including the Executive Director Debralee Rodriguez, for their decision to end the sale of the Salineo Wildlife Preserve.
