On Veterans Day, Americans honor the courage and valor of current and former servicemembers. But to truly honor these heroes, we must do our best to serve them when they return home. No one is more deserving of our help. “I am pleased with the Veterans Administration’s recent announcement that they have made progress in reducing backlogged disability compensation claims by 34 percent since March of this year, and I will continue to work with my colleagues in the House to bring that backlog to zero. I will also continue to support legislation that provides veterans with the economic opportunities and other services they deserve, like my bill H.R. 1842, the Military Family Home Protection Act. “Our veterans have earned the right to return home and find success in the country they worked so hard to protect.
