After introducing this legislation, Representative DesJarlais released the following the statement: “Imposing these cuts on our military retirees breaks our commitment to those who bravely risked their lives in defense of this nation. It was one of the key reasons I voted against the Ryan-Murray Budget Deal. I am calling on all my colleagues, both those who voted in favor of these cuts and those who did not, to support this legislation immediately restoring these benefits we owe to our veterans.
