Since 2010, Congressman Guthrie’s Washington office has been located in Room 308 of the Cannon House Office Building. Constructed in 1905, the Cannon House Office Building is preparing to undergo a 10-year renovation. Congressman Guthrie’s Washington Office will now be located in Room 2434 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The phone number for the office will remain 202-225-3501. Congressman Guthrie’s new office was most recently occupied by Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06). Congressman Guthrie and Congresswoman Matsui currently serve as co-chairs of the Congressional Spectrum Caucus and have led bills to address the nation’s spectrum shortage. Other Members to call 2434 Rayburn their office include Marjorie Holt of Maryland and Mickey Edwards of Oklahoma. Congresswoman Holt was known for her legislation to end busing as a means of racial desegregation and was nominated by President Reagan to serve as a member of the General Advisory Committee on Arms Control and Disarmament. Congressman Edwards was the founding trustee of the Heritage Foundation and also served as the National Chairman of the American Conservative Union. The Rayburn House Office Building is named after Speaker Sam Rayburn of Texas.
