Its about gathering together to share in the traditions that we hold dear, not only as a family or a community, but as a nation. As we do that, let us not forget to expressour gratitude to the men and women who serve or have served our country in the protection of our freedoms. And as we celebrate the most important reasonthe Christ child who was born in a stable and brought forgiveness and peace, take a moment to helpthepeople around you who may be having a difficult time and please extend your generosity. Scripture reminds us in 1 John 4:9, In this way the love of God was revealed to us; God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. I, along with Sidney, Livingston, Maggie, and my Congressional staff, wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
