To recognize the efforts of small businesses in Maryland’s First Congressional District, Congressman Harris is creating an “Entrepreneur Certificate” that will be presented to businesses that are making positive contributions to their community. Throughout the week, Congressman Harris asked people in the first district to share with him businesses that they believe deserve recognition. “Every day we should be celebrating the dreamers and doers who make the American economy strong,” said Harris. “This week, especially, we recognize the contributions small businesses make to this country. We must champion their hard work, dedication, and sacrifice because these entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of our economy. “In these tough economic times, Washington needs to be supporting small businesses now more than ever by advancing pro-growth policies that help – not hurt – these job creators grow and hire new workers.
