This bill makes our nation safer by increasing defense spending to support our troops and closing loopholes to prevent terrorists from exploiting our outdated visa system and entering the United States. Additionally, this legislation takes an essential step to prevent taxpayers from bailing out the broken ObamaCare system. Lastly, this bill includes my effort to strengthen the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund to make sure the federal government lives up to its obligations to dredge and maintain our ports and harbors in Grand Haven, Holland, Ludington, and Muskegon.
