I am deeply saddened to learn about that violence has again been visited upon a place of learning. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims and everyone affected by this horrible act of violence. I know that everyone in The Ohio State University community and all persons across our great county stand ready to assist the victims in any way they can. “We must also commit ourselves to the important and necessary work of ensuring that all educational institutions in this country, from pre-K to our great research universities, are places where all members of the educational communication can study, learn, teach, and live in safety and without fear of senseless act of violence or terror. “I commend all of the first responders involved in this incident for their swift, effective, and professional work.
