As I’ve said before, the President’s actions are unprecedented, unconstitutional, and violation of our rule of law. We have a responsibility as Members of the legislative branch to protect the Constitution of the United States. I sincerely believe that voters were loud and clear that they wanted Republicans to act boldly against the President’s unlawful unilateral actions. This legislation failed to stop this unconstitutional encroachment, and that is why I urged the Republican Leadership in the House to adopt defunding language for executive amnesty to the spending bill.
