Jeff Duncan comments on attack at the OSU | 2016-11-29 | 2016 | 2016-11 | Republican | House | SC | Jeffrey Duncan | D000615 | jeffduncan.house.gov | legacy | Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Duncan released the following statement after an assailant attacked multiple victims at the Ohio State University on Monday, November 28th, 2016: “I have been speaking out for over a year about my deep concerns regarding the refugee resettlement program and the threat of Islamic terrorist attacks here in the United States. After the attacks in Nice, France I released a statement saying “radical Islamic terrorists will use any and every tool at their disposal to kill those who oppose their beliefs; whether it is an airplane, a boat, truck, pressure-cooker, knife, or a gun. Any government official who focuses on the method more than the terrorists themselves is making a disastrous mistake.” The attacks at the Ohio State University sadly prove this statement. “The American people have been deeply dissatisfied with the Obama Administration’s handling of the war on terror and its plans to expand the refugee resettlement program in the United States. I’d like to reiterate my calls to halt the refugee resettlement program from nations designated as terrorist safe havens, and to shelve the political correctness which is making Americans less safe.” ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
