Congresswoman Kuster helped found the Caucus last year in order to bring together Democratic and Republican members of the freshman class and help end the partisan gridlock in Washington. During today’s gathering, Kuster met with members of the Caucus to discuss goals for the upcoming year, including plans to encourage new members to join. Since its founding last year, United Solutions members have successfully worked together on a variety of issues, and they will continue to tout a bipartisan approach in the new legislative session. “I was so pleased to bring together many of my fellow Caucus members from both sides of the aisle to recap our work this year and to discuss future plans. When I came to Washington, I pledged to work across the aisle to end the gridlock plaguing Congress,” said Congresswoman Annie Kuster. “As a founding member of United Solutions, I’ve been thrilled to see members of both parties work together to fight for the issues that matter to our constituents back at home. I look forward to involving our newest class of members in our bipartisan approach, so we can work together to have a successful legislative session next year.” Since taking office, Congresswoman Annie Kuster has pushed her fellow members in Congress to put aside partisan differences in order to end the gridlock in Washington. In early 2013, she helped found the United Solutions Caucus, a group that brought together Democrats and Republicans from the freshman class to find common ground on challenging problems facing Congress. Since then, Congresswoman Kuster has worked with a number of colleagues from across the aisle to push for and pass legislation that matters to her constituents in the 2nd District of New Hampshire. The Caucus has introduced over 20 bipartisan bills with support from both Democrats and Republicans, including the SAVE Act, which would eliminate duplicative programs and cut over $330 billion dollars in wasteful spending, and the Partnership to Build America Act, which supports efforts to bolster our country’s transportation infrastructure.
