Earlier this year, Kuster helped secure $200 million in federal funds to help complete the I-93 project. This funding, a low-interest through the federal Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) program, will also help repair as many as 24 Red List bridges and pave approximately 1,100 miles of roads all across the state. “Our roads and bridges are absolutely critical to the success of the Granite State economy,” said Kuster. “Investing in construction projects like the I-93 expansion not only protects the safety of our travelers, it supports our businesses and creates jobs. I thank the N.H. Department of Transportation for all it does to serve the people of New Hampshire, and I will continue to push the federal government to better support important projects like this one.” Kuster is a co-sponsor of the Infrastructure 2.0 Act, legislation. This legislation would create a national infrastructure bank to finance construction projects across the country, and would use the repatriation of overseas corporate earnings to fund our federal highway programs. “Across New Hampshire and all around our country, more and more roads and bridges are falling into disrepair.
