Kuster was joined by Congressman Frank Guinta (NH-01) for the briefing and orientation flight. It was a great privilege to learn about the remarkable programs and capabilities of the New Hampshire Army National Guard during this mornings briefing and orientation flight, said Congresswoman Kuster. The men and women who serve in the New Hampshire National Guard exemplify the highest levels of service, courage, and selflessness by choosing to wear the uniform and protect our country, both at home and overseas. I am endlessly inspired by their commitment to the Granite State and the nation, and I am proud to serve on their behalf in Congress. During todays visit, Kuster attended a briefing on the capabilities and force structure of the NHARNG and participated in an orientation flight aboard a UH-60 helicopter, a Blackhawk helicopter that operates in a medical ambulance role overseas, supports search and rescue and disaster relief efforts at home, and is one of the two types of aircraft utilized at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Concord. The New Hampshire National Guard has a proud history of service to the Granite State and the nation dating back to 1623. The majority of soldiers and airmen reside in New Hampshire, while a number of members come from neighboring New England states or further.
