The Veterans Jobs and Resource Fair was open to all Granite State veterans. “I was honored to host this Veterans Jobs and Resource Fair in order to connect local veterans with important resources and employment opportunities,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “Our veterans made extreme personal sacrifices to serve and protect our great nation, and we must ensure they have the support they need when they return home. I was so pleased to see our local veterans making important connections during today’s fair, and to get a chance to hear directly from them about other steps Congress can take to support their success.” A member of the U.S. House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Congresswoman Annie Kuster is committed to ensuring Granite State veterans have the resources and support they need. She held this Veterans Jobs and Resource Fair to help Granite State veterans learn about important employment opportunities and other services in the state that can help them succeed. The fair gave New Hampshire veterans a chance to catch up with Congresswoman Kuster and share with her their thoughts and concerns about issues affecting the local veterans community, so the Congresswoman can take their stories back to Washington when the House reconvenes in September. “We thank Congresswoman Kuster and her staff for arranging this event. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet with veterans and provide them with information about services, including employment opportunities, that may be helpful to them. The fair also provided us with a great opportunity to check in with other veteran service organizations to hear more about their programming and the services they offer, so we can all work together to best serve our veterans community,” said Lynn Eaton, Information and Referral Specialist at ServiceLink Hillsborough County. Congresswoman Kuster is committed to expanding jobs and opportunity for New Hampshire’s veterans’ community and ensuring every Granite State veteran can access important health care, housing, and other services. She has held a series of job fairs across the state that she encourages veterans to attend, and she passed an amendment in the House Small Business Committee that would help increase contracting opportunities for veteran-owned small businesses.
