This legislation was made possible by the courageous acts of a female worker who stood up against pay discrimination and paved the way for other women across the country to fight back against inequality. The law in her name goes a long way towards helping women receive the equal pay for equal work that they deserve but as women in New Hampshire and across the country continue to make only 78 cents to every mans dollar, theres still so much more we need to do. I urge my colleagues in the House and the Senate to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act, a bill I cosponsored that will further Lilly Ledbetters vitally important work, and help reduce the pay gap between men and women. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
