Kuster joined Senator Kelly Ayotte and New Hampshire Adjutant General William Reddel for a meeting with Assistant Secretary Wightman at the Manchester National Guard Armory. “It was an honor to host Assistant Secretary Wightman in the Granite State today to discuss a unique program that provides crucial support services for National Guardsmen and women and their families,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “Members of the New Hampshire National Guard set an example of service, courage, and dedication when they choose to wear the uniform, and when they are deployed overseas, it is our responsibility to ensure they and their families get the care and services they deserve. That’s why I’m proud to support this unique New Hampshire program, which provides the comprehensive counseling, employment, and child care services that our brave Guardsmen and their families deserve.” The Deployment Cycle Support Care Coordination Program is a pilot program in New Hampshire that provides comprehensive, free, and confidential support services to National Guard and Reserves members and their families. These services include counseling, employment assistance, child care, financial, and other services, which are provided before, during, and after deployment. As Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, Richard Wightman is responsible for all matters of the National Guard and Reserve.
