As part of this project, my office will be displaying a portrait of the Malleck family from Colorado. Amy and Leonard Malleck began the adoption process when their three children were teenagers. Since that time, the Mallecks have opened their home to six adoptive children: Hannah (20), Jennifer (17), Mercedes (16), Joshua (12), Kaitlen (8),and Jacob (8). Amy and Leonard have given their lives to providing stability for these children, many of whom live with Autism, PTSD, or other medical and emotional conditions. Through their adoptive familys love, all of the Malleck children have found an environment in which they can thrive and explore their personal interests.
