Please join me in congratulating a Fort Carson and American hero, Army Captain Florent Groberg. Captain Groberg is an American by choice who gave up a comfortable job in the private sector to serve his country with the 4th Infantry Division in Afghanistan. While on patrol in 2012, Captain Groberg, disregarding his own safety, bravely tackled an enemy wearing a suicide vest, absorbing the vast majority of the explosion, and saving many people in his patrol group. For this astounding act of bravery, Captain Groberg has been awarded the Medal of Honor. That our country inspires such actions is a testament to the goodness that we stand for and to the greatness of people like Captain Florent Groberg.- Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) f t # e | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
