http://long.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=49&itemid=544 Long Works to Revitalize Manufacturing, Ensure Greater Transparency from EPA 2014-11-20 2014 2014-11 Republican House MO Billy Long L000576 long.house.gov     legacy WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Billy Long today voted in favor of the Promoting New Manufacturing Act, which seeks to harness America’s abundant energy resources creating jobs for Americans.               “The EPA is good at one thing and that is issuing rules that take jobs away from Americans.  We have plentiful energy resources in our country and need policies in place that allow for new manufacturing projects to tap into those energy resources.  The Promoting New Manufacturing Act will rein in the EPA and allow our nation’s manufacturers to create jobs for Americans.  I will continue to support policies that allow our country to be a nation of builders that says yes to energy and jobs Americans are demanding,” Long said.                      The Promoting New Manufacturing Act (H.R. 4795) seeks to harness America’s abundant energy resources creating new manufacturing jobs by providing for greater transparency and efficiency in obtaining necessary permits from the EPA required under the Clean Air Act. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
