Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) introduced legislation that would require agencies to create a plain language summary of proposed rules to provide more transparency and clarity. “Government agencies have a habit of creating long-winded and convoluted rules that, frankly, don’t make sense unless you are an expert in that field. My legislation would simply require agencies to create a short, plain language summary and a web link to make it accessible so that all Americans can easily find and understand the rules being proposed by the administration,” Luetkemeyer said.
