On Friday, U.S. Representatives Kristi Noem and Tim Murphy will head to Pine Ridge to talk with students and community members about the resources that are needed to address this suicide crisis. Noem said she hoped this trip would help shed some light on the problems these students face and how the federal government can help. "Most of you know about the suicide crisis that our tribes are going through right now. Their young people, boys and girls, are feeling a loss of hope and I want to bring Rep. Murphy down there to give some insight of what we might be able to do." Noem and Murphy will be meeting with students impacted by the suicide crisis and talking with Indian Health Services employees who work in the hospital's mental health program. | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
