On Tuesday, the delegation wrote to Secretary of theAir Force, Deborah James, urging the Air Force to base the F35 Joint Strike Fighter at Joe Foss Field. Representative Kristi Noem says the South Dakota AirNational Guardhas been one of the nation's premier fighter units. She says the state has continued to demonstrateoutstandingmission readiness, making South Dakota an ideal location.
