This year's Capitol Christmas tree came from the Chippewa National Forest. Rep. Rick Nolan, Sen. Al Franken and Sen. Amy Klobuchar were all there to celebrate the lighting. "We're so proud of this tree from the state of Minnesota," Klobuchar said at the ceremony. "Where in the words of our unofficial poet laureate Garrison Keillor, a state where the women are strong, the men are good-looking—right, Franken? And all the trees are above average." The tree is 88 feet tall and traveled 2,000 miles to D.C. It was decorated by ornaments that were made by Minnesota children.
